Botanical Name: Helichrysum italicum

Helichrysum hydrosol can be mildly analgesic and is known to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can be helpful for a variety of skin ailments. We like to combine it with our calendula, lavender, and yarrow hydrosols for a wound care treatment that can be both healing and soothing. We also recommend combining it with German chamomile for an excellent spray that can help soothe and heal skin inflammation, damaged skin, sunburn, and rashes.

Helichrysum hydrosol may help support the healing of an incision after surgery. We recommend using the hydrosol around the wound until the stitches come out and then spraying on the incision site. This will allow the wound to heal from the inside out. Helichrysum may also help with the healing of scar tissue, as well.

Our floral waters are extremely versatile. They can be added to your creams and lotions at 30% – 50% in the water phase, or in an aromatic face or body spritz. They are an excellent addition to linen sprays and a simple way for the novice aromatherapist to enjoy the benefits of essential oils. They may also be added to make a fragrant and soothing hot bath.
